Early Years
Introduction
The Early Years integrated therapy service consists of the following professionals:
- Occupational therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Speech and language therapists
We work closely with the child, family, and our health colleagues to provide early identification of needs, advice and support to promote the development of skills.
We also work closely with our children’s centres and early years settings to empower them to support the childs needs within their settings.
Home visits
Home visit assessment appointments are available for some families who find it difficult to attend drop in clinics due to their child’s health needs – eg if they are medically unwell, are on Oxygen, or have compromised immune systems. Follow up home visit follow up appointments may be offered where it is more appropriate to see the child in their own home environment- eg when conducting assessments of feeding, environmental assessments, or assessments for equipment such as specialist seating.
