Physiotherapy Early Years Service

Specialist assessment and interventions in a variety of settings based on clinical need; interventions are target based and goal focused. All interventions are undertaken in a setting which is most appropriate to achieve the goals.

There are a variety of interventions available and what is most appropriate will be decided through discussion with the therapist and parents in either a group, during a 1:1 session or a nursery settings and could be therapy technician led.

Our therapists work to educate and empower the family, supporting them to manage their child’s motor difficulties. They are also providing reassurance around the development of normal gross motor skills.

Support and advice is provided for your child to integrate into community groups such as swimming and soft play.

The Physiotherapist may refer your child to another service or signpost you to services to support your child’s developmental needs as appropriate.
